H1N1 Flu Virus (Human Swine Flu)
Nov 20: Influenza Vaccine Clinics
Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) has just announced that everyone is now eligible to receive the H1N1 influenza vaccine.
UBC Student Health has a very limited supply at this time, with hopes of receiving more at a later date. Two clinics will be open to all UBC students, faculty and staff on:
- Monday, Nov 23, from 10:00 - 15:00 and
- Tuesday, Nov 24 from 11:30 - 14:00, while supplies last.
Both clinics will be held at the UBC Hospital (located at 2211 Wesbrook Mall) in the Bernstein Room. There will be signs in the hospital directing you to this room.
UBC students, staff and faculty can either book an appointment or drop in to receive the vaccine while supplies last. To book an appointment please call UBC Student Health at 604-822-7011. After the clinic begins, only drop-ins will be available. Both H1N1 and seasonal influenza vaccines will be available.
The seasonal influenza vaccine is free of charge to those with chronic health conditions, but all others can purchase the vaccine for $20.
